Attractions inside the gardens
Flower Dome
A single arched glasshouse the size of four football pitches. Kept cool and dry to house plants from Mediterranean climates — olive trees, baobabs, succulents, and a rotating "changing display" of seasonal blooms that turns over five to six times a year. Expect to spend 45 minutes to 90 minutes here depending on the current display.
Cloud Forest
A dark, tall dome built around an artificial mountain wrapped in tropical highland plants. Water pours from the top in a single 35-metre fall you can walk almost underneath. Elevated walkways spiral around the mountain up to the roof; the last section is a suspended loop through the clouds. Give it 60 to 90 minutes. Wear closed shoes — the walkways can be wet.
Supertree Grove and OCBC Skyway
Eighteen tree-shaped structures ranging from 25 to 50 metres. The tallest are fitted with photovoltaic cells that store daytime energy for the evening light show. A 128-metre elevated walkway (the OCBC Skyway) connects two of the trees — the ticket is cheap and the view of the downtown skyline is one of the best in the city.
The Garden Rhapsody light-and-sound show runs nightly at 19:45 and 20:45 in the grove below. It is free — no ticket required — and lasts about 15 minutes.
Floral Fantasy
A smaller, indoor floral installation with four themed rooms — "Dance", "Float", "Waltz", and "Drift". Ends with a short 4D theatre. Best for a rainy afternoon or as a follow-up to the two big domes. Allow 30 to 45 minutes.
Outdoor gardens (free)
Themed gardens spread across Bay South: the Sun Pavilion (cacti and succulents), Heritage Gardens (four cultural gardens paying tribute to Singapore's Chinese, Malay, Indian and Colonial communities), and the World of Palms. All open-air and free. Best visited before 10:30 in the morning or after 17:00.
